Prolific Screenwriter Nora Ephron Dies

Nora Ephron, famed Hollywood screenwriter and director, has passed away during her struggle with leukemia. She was 71 years of age.

Nora started her career writing numerous humor columns for the New York Post. She later went on to write for other magazines, such as Esquire and The New York Times. But she is best remembered for her big Hollywood movies that have delighted audiences for decades. Movies like that include: When Harry Met Sally, Sleepless In Seattle, You've Got Mail and Julie and Julia. She received three Best Screenplay Oscar nominations during her career.

There is no word yet on how her estate will be handled, but it is expected that it will pass to her surviving spouse, Nick Pileggi, as well as her two children. Her estate is estimated to be worth about $40 million.
